Kurb pain reliever
from Kotex menstrual products
For "certain days" and "trying days"
Newspaper ads 1936-1961, U.S.A.
Midol menstrual pain reliever apparently
started way before Kurb - the earliest Midol ad on MUM dates from 1911.
The Kotex (Kimberly-Clark) brand lacked the frequent "x" sound
at the end, like Kleenex.
You won't find the ingredients in the ads except for the last one, which
promotes niacin, vitamin B3, which flushes the face. I wonder how its constituents
compared with Midol, which also concealed what it was made of. Both tried
to curb the pain.
I thank the industrious retired teacher and genealogist for sending
these scans and many others!
