And, of course, the first Tampax AND - special
for you! - the American fax tampon,
from the early 1930s, which also came in bags.
See a Modess True or False? ad in The American
Girl magazine, January 1947, and actress Carol Lynley
in "How Shall I Tell My Daughter" booklet ad (1955) - Modess . . . . because ads (many dates).

Folder, The Fascinating Story of Wix (later
version)
Wix menstrual tampons, 1930s? U.S.A.
Tambrands, the former maker of Tampax menstrual tampons, donated this
later version of The Fascinating Story of Wix
to MUM. (It's also in the carton of small boxes
of Wix.)
In it, the company claims to have created the
first commercial tampon. Unfortunately, the folder, printed in dark blue (see the color),
is not dated. Below are the back and front
pages. See the interior pages. See an earlier
version.
The dimensions as shown are 5 1/4 x 5 1/4" (13.2 x 13.2 cm). It folds
in half vertically.
